On what types of surfaces can I use 2P-10?
2P-10 can be used on any material as long as it is clean and the surface is well prepared. The surface should be clean, with no oil, and slightly etched so the glue can bite more effectively. It should not be used in lieu of a weld on metal, but it is very effective for tacking, to hold a piece in place.
How do I get 2P-10 Activator stain off marble, granite, terracotta, terrazzo and ceramic?
Check out this fantastic product called Mangia Macchia Stain Remover.
How does 2P-10 stand up in a wet environment like on a boat. Can it be submerged in water?
All of our 2P-10 products are able to be submerged in water, but the adhesive must be completely bonded and DRY beforehand. All of our adhesives would work fine within a boat setting if applied correctly. You must make sure that both surfaces are dry and clear of debris before application and we also recommend that you use our 2p-10 activator to speed up the cure time.
Is there a product that will delay the bonding of the 2P-10 to allow more open time when gluing two sheets of glass together?
The 2P-10 Jel has a longer open time, up to about a 1/2 hour. If your using the thick or medium, it about 10-15 minutes. We have nothing to delay the open time but you can always have it sit in a cool dry area.
What is the open time for 2P10?
For medium, thick and jel adhesives, give it 1/2 hour before it starts to harden. the jel's open time tends to be longer because it is much thicker.
Is this comparable to the BSI C-A glue?
Yes, very similar I think. It looks like theirs is also a cyanoacrylate glue with differing possible thicknesses for different applications and with an available accelerator. I do not see where they list their percentage of CA in the mix, their bond strength, or cure times, so I don’t know exactly how similar. Ours has a 10 second set time and 30 second cure time. Ours cures at 4000 psi in both tensile and shear. Our CA is triple distilled – that means it has FAR fewer impurities than the average CA glue and does not require preservatives to stabilize it, meaning its more actual adhesive per gram. So the same size dot of ours goes further than most competitors. I cannot speak to BSI’s comparative purity, as I don’t see this info on their site (in my quick glance at it – it may be there).
Can 2P-10 Adhesive bond wood with plastic?
2p-10 can be used to bond wood and plastic with no problem. Care needs to be used with the Activator though. The Activator can cause certain plastics to discolor. 2p-10 does not need the Activator to work and in most cases where plastic is being glued, we recommend skipping the Activator.
Is using glue on both pieces of wood stronger than only one side?
It only needs to be applied to 1 side; it will wet out both sides as long as you put enough on the 1 side. It can help to do both sides if the wood is very porous, but not necessary.
Perfect
This Glue and Activator were just what i needed, I had a little bit of veneer coming up from my plywood and I was able to squeeze some 2p-10 in between and spray a little bit of activator it was good as new really saved my butt.

Rave Review
Hey Paul! Just had a rave review for you!! My husband and I are renovating the inside of our rv and bought new vinyl plank flooring to put down! Well that "sticky" adhesive on the back wouldn't stick to the cleanest, smoothest or most Level surface if its life depended on it. SO I dug through some old boxes and found 2 small 2p-10 thick adhesive bottles and hadn't forgotten my Fastcap days of getting my fingers stuck together with it so SURELY that would hold it down. And just like that a few lines on each piece and that floor isn't going anywhere! We went a lot product happy at the beginning and ran out much to fast so I'll be ordering more but just wanted to tell you thanks for making a product so awesome! My husband is in construction and does all sorts of projects, and hasn't ever used it. You have a fan for life now. I'm still very proud to have been a member of your team!! Hope all is well there in Washington. -Annie
Response: Great to hear from you Annie!!!
Lid Trick
Your 2P-10, as you well know, is an excellent adhesive. One issue I have had with it is the difficulty of getting the red cap off after the container has been used many times over an extended length of time. Personally I have cured that problem by first cleaning off as much of the built up cried adhesive from the spout and threads, then applying WD040 to the inside of the red cap. It has made a big difference in the use of the product. I just thought I would pass this on.

2P-10 has revolutionized my work
Your 2P-10 has revolutionized my work. A local moulding a sheet goods company recently started carrying it. I told them they should start carrying more of your products like fast edge, measuring tapes, glue bott... They said they are going to look into it. Currently I order most of my fastcap stuff directly from you guys or from lewis and company. It would be great if they started carrying more fastcap products.
2P10 is officially our glue of choice
Well, 2P10 is officially our glue of choice for repairing cracks on string instruments. Here is a story for you. There is a girl name Alice and she is the first cellist of the LA Youth Philharmonic, they are actually playing a concert at Carnegie hall tonight at 8pm. Last night I got a emergency phone call that Alice's bridge on her cello snapped in half from transporting from LA to NY. I went to the rehearsal and glue up the bridge with 2P10, with in 5 minutes she was up practicing with the orchestra again. Now, I hope it stay in tact and she gets through the concert tonight. Will keep you posted. Update: ...the cello bridge held up but she did not use that cello for the concert just in case the cello snapped.
